🥳 HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🥳

Okay, yes, we’re nearly 30 days into the year, but we’ve been a littttttle busy. You see, we’ve been making a movie. We haven’t “officially” talked about it publicly yet, so here’s your exclusive.

Mirror Box Films presents, our 3rd independent feature film…

GARGANTUAN.

Gargantuan is an insanely ambitious science fiction film with all practical FX, shot for very little money over very few days. It’s a miracle that any movie ever even exists, but this one exceeded every dream or expectation I had for it and I can’t believe we made it to the finish line, much less made something beautiful, fun, exciting, touching, magical, and original.

The story follows five teenagers, trained to pilot a giant robot, who retire after defeating the monsters attacking their city. Eight years later, the monsters return, forcing the now estranged team to reunite and face the threat once more.

Yes, we built a miniature city. Yes, it’s got fight scenes. Yes, it has a puppet. Yes, you’re going to love it.

A Colossal Cast & Crew

When we first set out to make movies, the goal wasn’t just about making movies. It was about building relationships. Movies have this magical way of connecting people—bringing (in this case) 40+ brilliant artists together, each with their own unique gifts, to create something entirely new. There’s nothing like it.

This is the most talented group of actors and artists I’ve ever worked with and I hope to introduce you to each one of them over the coming months. Everyone was at the top of their creative game, and I got to watch magic being made every day. But, more importantly, this team is made up of the kindest, most encouraging, and most patient humans on the planet. I will be front row for whatever this group of lifelong besties makes next.

We’re two weeks out and I’m still exhausted, inspired, and just overwhelmingly grateful for this team. They took this wild vision that existed exclusively in my head for 15 years and made it even bigger, better, and more breathtaking than I ever thought possible.

What’s Next?

Jordan (Noel, director/editor of all our projects) has already started editing and we are moving full speed ahead but a long road awaits us as we approach sound design, music scoring, color grading, festival premieres, marketing, and distribution.

And of course, all of these things cost money, so we’ll also be providing an opportunity for you to experience more of the film and become a key partner on this journey when we launch a crowdfunding campaign this Summer. More on that (and bonus exclusives) soon!
