(Finally) Coming to a Theater Near You!
Guacamole Yesterdays is screening in Atlanta, Wilmington, Knoxville, and more!
As you can probably tell by that subject line, we have a big announcement to make, BUT FIRST, remember a few weeks back when I posted 5 different poster ideas for our latest feature, Guacamole Yesterdays, and asked for feedback to help us choose? We also posted it across all our social media channels and got an incredible response with well over a hundred people giving their opinions. AND there was a clear runaway winner that everyone loved. The winning poster (that I’ll share in a second) got more votes than the next two favorites combined.
For those of you interested in the business side, we also decided to do a test of the marketing effectiveness of the different posters by running ads on Facebook & Instagram and pointing to the website. That data was a little more nuanced and there wasn’t as clear of a winner, but “the people’s favorite” also performed best in the core demo of 18-34.
So, here we go… our “official” poster for Guacamole Yesterdays.
We made a couple of tweaks after the initial mock-up. Moving things around, updating the avocado, adding the cut-out line around Randy (thanks for the idea, Katelyn!), and swapping out the tagline (we offered two different tags and this one got the most buzz). We couldn’t be happier with this little guy that captures the tone and spirit of the film.
Okay, now onto the news!
I made the mistake of announcing this on social media yesterday (April Fools Day 🤷🏻♂️) so just in case you were wondering, yes it’s real.
This summer, we’re bringing Guacamole Yesterdays to theaters across the U.S. featuring live Q&As, special guests, and exclusive merch.

Over the past year, we’ve had the chance to share Guacamole Yesterdays with audiences at a dozen film festivals and every screening reminded us why we make movies in the first place: The shared experience. The laughter. The tears. The deep conversations that spill into the lobby afterward.
We’ve seen it over and over… when we take the time to get up off our couches and connect with other human beings, sharing an emotional experience driven by story… something magical happens.
And now we wanna share that experience with YOU.
